I've been bowing down since 1976 :-) Appreciate all your hard work!
All chops, no taste.
Give me a bassline anyday, Jazz Fusion was always full of phenomenal technical bores. He was one of the best of the bunch though a true original.
Well Paco...in my estimation....is a a grade higher than say....jack bruce....or maybe Phil Lesh.....but I digress...absolutley a first grade first album....from anybody.....no wonder he went on to greater things.....unfortunatley it was all too much and we lost him...far to young but....his music lives on....and so does your blog....excellent by the way....all the very best.
many thanks, ive been loving this album for years but didnt have the new version with an alternate take of kuru and 6/4 jam.
despite agreeing on zappahead's comments on Paco, and being a guitarist myself, i would still prefer Jaco :)
Let me know when this bass solo is over, for there is nothing more boring then a bass solo regardless of who's is doing it .If I was in that audience I would have said "enough already Jaco get on with it !!

Sammy Davis, Jr./Sam Butera

Thank you very much for this album.
Jaco is one of my favorite bass players, but I only know him from the recordings he made with Weather Report. So I appreciate this post very much
