(originally broadcast December 15th, 1942)
from the CD booklet:
"Arch Oboler hosts this terrifying tale of Ella, a woman who marries a simpleton named Jay for his money and tries, in vain, to get rid of her overbearing mother-in-law with whom they both live. The trouble is that the mother-in-law won't go away -- not even when Ella decides to drown her! A story not for the faint of heart!"
Track 2: "Murder in the Script Department" [29:20]
(originally broadcast May 11th, 1943)
from the CD booklet:
Arch Oboler once again hosts a terrifying tale that warns: "If you are easily frightened by these Lights Out stories, turn off your radio...now." This interesting opus takes place in the script department at CBS where two typists named Bernice and Mary are preparing to mimeograph a Lights Out script. As they are about to start working, very strange things begin to happen!
