Let's Start September

If jazz has a map, then X marks the spot on this album as the spearhead of the free jazz movement. This album is so influential that this sub-genre of jazz that was spawned by Ornette Coleman took its name after this album.

Despite owning his 1st groundbreaking album for years and maintaining a casual interest in OC since then I had never even HEARD of this album -I am staggered at my ignorance and indebted to you for this one - I guess as usual with OC it requires an open mind and repeat listens to "get it"?

Thank you for all the hard work you've done here. I very much appreciate it. There are some albums from my childhood that I forgot about until I found this wonderful collection. Thank you!
