Classic Grunge

This is one of the best examples of grunge rock. The album is so good, people suspected at the time that Kurt Cobain secretly co-wrote some of these songs. I would place this in a time capsule to represent 90s rock. Great assortment of guitar sounds, and every song is good. A very underrated album.

My Boy, My Boy...

Formally released by RCA Records in 1998, Tiger Man is the full, unedited 'sit-down' portion of Elvis' 1968 NBC Comeback Special. Before a small audience, Elvis filmed two informal jam sessions with his original band, mostly on acoustic guitars. Tiger Man represents the second performance in its entirety. The '68 Comeback Special was meant to announce Elvis' return to music, as well as an implied goodbye to his film career.

In my opinion, this jam session is probably one of the most overlooked and underrated moments in Elvis' career. It's raw and natural, and Elvis - still lean and only 33 years of age at the time - was in his prime. I should warn you though, this recording would have been flawless had it not been for the teenage girls constantly screaming throughout the performance. It's ultimately redeemed by the intimate setting and lackadaisical manner.
