Nu Yorican

Harlem River Drive was the brainchild of latin jazz pianist Eddie Palmieri. Assembling a supergroup of black and Puetro Rican musicians from New York City, this is a jam-oriented album that combines funk, soul and salsa. This album is only about a half-hour, but it is a very often overlooked chapter in the history of Afro-Latin jazz. This is just amazing stuff.
